How to use Bedside Mode in your Blackberry Smartphone

It is annoying to every person that you where in the middle of adventurous dream when somebody interrupted call or text you while you are sleeping. In order to avoid that situation, you can use the Bedside mode in your Blackberry Smartphone.

Bedside mode turns your BlackBerry into a clock and prevents it from interrupting you with calls or messages while you sleep. It dims the clock screen, disables the LED, and can even be configured to shut the wireless antenna off. When you exit Bedside mode, all of your settings return to normal.

Bedside mode has several options, which you can configure with these steps:
1. From your BlackBerry Home screen, select the Clock icon.
2. Press the Menu key and select Options.
3. Navigate down to the Bedside Mode section

You can adjust these Bedside mode options:
Disable LED: If you choose Yes, your BlackBerry LED will not flash when you receive new messages. If you choose No, your BlackBerry LED will flash as usual.
Disable Radio: Choose to disable the BlackBerry wireless antenna.
If you choose Yes, your BlackBerry’s wireless antenna will turn off when your device enters Bedside mode and then turn back on when it leaves Bedside Mode. This prevents your BlackBerry from receiving any incoming calls or messages. If you choose No, your wireless antenna will remain on when in Bedside mode.
Dim Screen: Defines whether the clock display dims while your BlackBerry is in Bedside mode.

4. Navigate to the option you would like to change and make the changes.
5. When you are done setting Bedside mode options, press the Menu Key and select Save.

You can also configure your BlackBerry to automatically enter Bedside mode while charging — especially useful if you charge your BlackBerry every night while you sleep. Follow these steps:
1. From your BlackBerry Home screen, select the Clock icon.
2. Press the Menu key and select Options.
